Today, We (Ghana Best Cocoa Farmers ) Lucy Addai-Poku, Martha Addai, Agyenim Boateng Agyapong, Nicholas Kwabeng, Osei Amoako 1, Mr Osman Yakubu, Nana Johnson Afriyie, Nana Kwame Gyau, Nana Opoku Gyamfi, Op Adu Tabiri, Op Kwaku Adu, Emmanuel Agyei, Ernest Sarkodie, Isaac Appiah, Nkrumah Gabriel, Nana Johnson Mensah, Nana Joseph Kojo Gyamera, Nana Nicholas Kwabena, Nana Yaw Boateng, Op Yaw Obeng Abraham Adusei, hereby issue this communiqué to reaffirm our commitment to World Cocoa Farmers Organization (WCFO), the global cocoa farmers umbrella organization.

We as cocoa farmers see the need for farmers across the globe to come together to share our ideas that will contribute in promoting a fair and balance cocoa sector. We therefore call on the Ghanaian government (COCOBOD) to welcome and collaborate with the World Cocoa Farmers Organization (WCFO) as farmers deserved the right to participate at national level on issues regarding cocoa farming as a business which include policy, trade, sustainability and environmental initiatives.

Heading forward, we expect that farmers are involved in the planning and implementation of future activities (policy, trade, sustainability and environmental initiatives).

We look forward that COCOBOD will endorse and praticalize this communiqué and ensure collaboration with WCFO in the planning and implementation of the issues mentioned above.
