The General Assembly (Members)

The General Assembly (all members) is the highest decision-making body of the Platform. The general assembly receives and discusses reports of the Steering Committee (SC); review the functioning of the Platform and discuss strategic frameworks, budget and work plan of the Platform as presented by the SC and advice on policy direction or any matter that affects the strategic vision of the Platform and interest of its members, the program framework and governance as suggested by the SC

The Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is a seven (7) member committee made up of representatives from all categories of cocoa fields (pillars) including representatives from Socially inclined advocacy, environmental-inclined advocacy and service delivery. The committee is co-opted by the Coordinator of the Platform and serves a 2-year period and is cloaked with the power to appoint a Chair for the platform.

The Secretariat

The secretariat managed by the coordinator is responsible for coordinating the platform engagements for effective advocacy in the cocoa sector; Facilitating capacity building of platform members for constructive and evidence-based engagement on cocoa; Facilitating information sharing between Platform members, state actors and other stakeholders; Fundraising for Platform activities.
