The Ghana Civil-Society Cocoa Platform (GCCP)
The Ghana Civil-Society Cocoa Platform (GCCP) is voluntary, non-profit making, non-partisan and membership-based platform for all interested civil society actors within the cocoa space in Ghana. It is a platform that focuses on advocacy at the sub-national, national and international levels. We strive to create space for marginalized groups and farmers who ordinarily does not get the platform to voice out the issue. The platform is made up of Civil Society Organizations. Non-Governmental Organizations, Farmer-Based Organizations, Farmer Groups, Community-Based Organizations, Trade Unions and Media. The platforms works to; (a) provide a common platform for joint action and agenda setting by members for effective cocoa sector advocacy (b) provide an avenue for key discussions, learnings and sharing for members to monitor and advocate for improved policies and practices in the cocoa sector (c) support members with capacity strengthening in lobbying and advocacy and other key areas.
